Ever feel that dieting was like that Bill Murray movie Groundhog Day?
One of my favorite movies of all time. Where a Pittsburgh TV weatherman has to cover Groundhog Day. And somehow he gets stuck repeating the same day over and over again. Until he gets it right.
And even though I know better than most people, my weight can still fluctuate 20 pounds over the course of a year. Last year I had my biggest one-year swing ever. From my ideal 160 in June all the way up to 195 by Christmas. ouch!
Of course we all had great excuses to pack on the pounds over the past few years but I need to lead by example. So instead of torturing myself for the next several months, getting ready for summer.
My older wiser self and I will get the job done nice and easy, so I don’t keep repeating the 20 pound lost and found yearly cycle. I feel like I’ve repeated my Groundhog Day enough, but I’ll watch the movie again.
